All Star Children’s Foundation (ASCF) seeks Florida Foster care couples

Last year, more than 1,500 children in Sarasota, Manatee and DeSoto counties were taken from their homes and placed in Florida’s foster care system.

This year, the All Star Children’s Foundation (ASCF) is looking for six couples to become foster parents for displaced children, and be a part of the organization’s new “Campus of Hope and Healing” in Sarasota County.

ASCF is a public, nonprofit organization. Its mission, according to its website, is to “create a safe place for children to heal from the trauma of child abuse.”

In the fall of 2017, the foundation bought land and began construction of a five-acre campus “designed to soothe, empower and inspire” traumatized children in a “homelike environment”.
