PHOENIX — If you’re raising grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, or a child under the age of 18 not born to you, Arizona’s Children Association can help.

More than 160,000 kids in our state are living in Kinship foster homes.

These homes offer a familiar setting for foster children to remain connected with their biological families and communities.

The Kane family is among them.

Jared Kane has lived with his grandparents Roxanne and Robert Kane for almost 10 years.

With the help of Arizona Kinship Support Services, Jared’s sister and two little brothers were also legally adopted by their grandparents.

“If something happens in your house, you don’t have a legal right to take them to the hospital that’s why you need to get guardianship,” Roxanne Kane said.

ABC15 is taking action for Arizona Foster Kids.

We hope you will help us stock Just for Me Bags which go with children as they enter foster care.
