It has been a long struggle. But finally advocates for quality child care and those who support the needed impacts of the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) have reason to be pleased.
We have collectively worked hard to gain the attention needed that would allow elected officials to assure the stability and future of the CCAP . The program being funded is the backbone for hundreds of child care centers operating in Kentucky.
We have, for too many years, been losing hope.
In fact, many who were leaders in this industry are no longer in business. They reluctantly were not able to stay involved as a part of the state’s CCAP . Low rates and high expenses is not a good business formula in the USA. But thanks to Gov. Bevin and his talented administrative leaders, a new day has now begun…
