MRS. USA PAGEANT CONTESTANT SHINES LIGHT ON 120,000 U.S. CHILDREN WAITING TO BE ADOPTED

Adoptive mom, author, podcast host, and foster care adoption advocate, Marcy Bursac, has been selected to bring her platform of foster care adoption to the national spotlight of the United States of America Pageants.

Marcy Bursac is serving as a voice for foster care adoption and as an advocate for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.  The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is a national nonprofit public charity dedicated exclusively to finding permanent homes for the more than 150,000 children waiting in North America’s foster care systems. Created by Wendy’s® founder Dave Thomas who was adopted, the Foundation implements evidence-based, results-driven national service programs, foster care adoption awareness campaigns and innovative grantmaking.

February 16-20, 2022 Marcy will go to Las Vegas as 1 of 51 delegates (all U.S. states plus the District of Columbia) competing for the coveted title of United States of America’s Mrs.

While remote schooling her children during the pandemic, Marcy felt compassion for the remaining 120,000 U.S. children who are waiting in foster care to be adopted. So she wrote a book (The Forgotten Adoption Option: A How-To and Self-Reflection Guide for Pursuing Foster Care Adoption), launched a podcast (The Forgotten Adoption Option Podcast), and is on a quest to find forever families as a United States of America’s Mrs. contestant.
